The 2006 training session on "Mitigation Strategy for Mega-Urban Earthquake Disaster," sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will take place from 9 October 2006 to 27 November 2006, in Kobe, Japan. Deadline for application is August 25, 2006. EMI partner cities are spefically encouraged to apply as this year JICA will accept applicants sponsored by local governments.
