An indicator system to promote risk communication among different stakeholders to assist policy decision making and monitoring the effectiveness of different risk reduction practices at the local level will be implemented and pilot-tested for the megacity context. This new activity will be undertaken under the new cooperative agreement signed between EMI, the UNDP/BCRP and the ProVention Consortium. An initial workshop was held in Seeheim (Germany) on February 17-19, 2006 to discuss the approach and details of the methodology to be used in Metropolitan Manila starting March 15, 2006.
