WBI conducted a two-day training workshop on Moodle, an open source learning management system, for online DRM education. Dr. Katalin Demeter and Dr. Andrei Tolstopiatenko came over to Metro Manila to facilitate the training.

Held on 27-28 November 2007 at the National Defense College of the Philippines, a total of 18 participants from EMI, National Disaster Coordinating Council/Office of Civil Defense, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Asian Disaster Preparedness Center joined the training.

EMI, in cooperation with NDCC/OCD, will administer the Philippine delivery of WBI's Distance Learning Program on Natural Disaster Risk Management in 2008, using the Moodle platform.

Discussions were also held to explore other collaboration opportunities between EMI and WBI.
