Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction launched in Bahrain
As a member of the United Nations Global Platform for Disaster Reduction, EMI was invited to participate in the official launching of the U.N. Secretary General's Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction (GAR/DRR) taking place in Bahrain on 17-18 May 2009. EMI is represented by its Chairman Dr. Fouad Bendimerad who was also the main author of the Urban Risk Reduction companion annex of the Secretary General's report.
