EMI talks about managing risks in megacities of the developing world
Dr. Fouad Bendimerad, EMI’s Chairman, is invited as a speaker in a seminar presentation on February 11, 2009 at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. He will present a paper titled Managing Risk in Megacities: Challenges and Opportunities for Researchers and Practitioners, which will provide an overview of issues and challenges related to risk management in megacities, especially in the developing world.
In response to the global urgency of managing risks in megacities, Dr. Bendimerad will introduce EMI’s interventions, methodologies and analytical tools applied and tested in a number of large cities across the world.
