The next few months will be an exciting time for EMI, as it conducts the next two online courses of the Natural Disaster Risk Management Program (NDRMP), implemented in partnership with the World Bank Institute (WBI).   Eighteen (18) participants from 6 countries are currently taking the Risk-Sensitive Land Use Planning course, which runs from July 26 to August 25.  A total of 62 enrollees from 30 countries have signed up for the Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework course, running from August 2 to September 10.

The NDRMP courses offer an alternative educational model through online training that helps participants gain knowledge and skills in disaster risk management from wherever they are and at any time.  The flexibility of the courses provides professionals an opportunity to study at their own pace, accomplish assignments, and share information with co-participants from all over the globe.  EMI has been training people from government, non-government, private, academe and international development organizations worldwide under the WBI-NDRMP since 2006, producing more than 500 graduates from over 30 countries.
