A total of 35 of the original 42 enrollees have successfully passed the Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) course of the NDRMP, a 81% passing rate. The CBDRM Course ran from July 14 to August 8, 2008.
Sharon Taylor and Marieta Senga got the highest total grade of 100 percent, while Manny Camagay submitted the Best End-of-Course Project for the course. Both Taylor and Senga work for the Pcommunity based organizations involved in DRR, while Camagay is from the UP National Center for Transportation Studies.
The Course drew-in participants from all over the world representing 8 countries, namely: Fiji, Indonesia, India, Italy, Kenya, Pakistan, Philippines, and the United States. Fourteen of the participants come from local governments, 13 from non-government organizations, 10 from national government agencies, while the private sector and the academe have three and two participants respectively.

In response to numerous requests, the Framework Course, the prerequisite course for all NDRMP courses, will be offered again starting October 14, 2008. Online applications will be accepted until October 3, 2008.
