41 participants complete WBI-TOT Course
A total of 41 participants from seven countries have successfully completed the World Bank Institute – Training of Trainers (WBI-ToT) course. The online course which ran on 3-25 March 2008 covered a module on ‘Climate Change and Disaster Risks’ followed by the basics of distance learning, administration and facilitation. Six of the successful participants were from EMI, namely, Kristoffer Berse, Jerome Cruz, Mariño Deocariza, Tara Ledesma, Nadia Pulmano, and Jerome Zayas. Ms. Ledesma was one of the facilitators for the ToT.
The new trainers will be tapped as online facilitators in the localized delivery of WBI's Distance Learning Program on Natural Disaster Risk Management.
