EMI hosted a meeting with Dr. Michael Spranger of Munich Re's Hongkong Branch on April 25, 2008. Munich Re is is one of the world's largest reinsurers that operates in 150 countries.

During the meeting, several items have surfaced as potential areas for collaboration. Dr. Spranger, who is part of Munich Re's Geo Risks Research team, expressed his interest in continuing discussions with EMI to identify a project that will serve as a prototype for future cooperation.
