Basic DRM Course to be offered again in October 2008

In response to numerous requests, EMI now accepts application for the second round of the Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework (CDRMF) Course under the WBI-NDCC-EMI Distance Learning Program on Natural Disaster Risk Management (NDRMP).  The CDRMF Course is a prerequisite to the succeeding specialized courses of the program.

The new schedule of the NDRMP courses is as follows:
  1. Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Framework Course: Oct. 13 - Nov. 14
  2. Financial Strategies for Managing the Economic Impacts of Natural Disasters: Nov. 24 – Dec. 19
  3. Earthquake Risk Reduction: Jan. 12 –Feb. 6, 2009
  4. Climate Change and Disaster Risks: Feb 23. – March 20, 2009
  5. Risk-Sensitive Land Use Planning: April 6 – May 1, 2009
  6. Safe Cities: May 18 – June 12, 2009
  7. Damage and Reconstruction Needs Assessment: June 29 –July 24, 2009
  8. Community-Based Disaster Risk Management: Aug. 10 – Sept. 4, 2009
