Mainstreaming DRR in Metro Manila

The Earthquakes and Megacities Initiative (EMI) works with the City Governments of Kathmandu and Metro Manila in laying down foundations for minimizing potential damages from earthquake-related hazards. In support of

EMI’s Cross-Cutting Capacity Development (3cd) Program, this project aims to strengthen institutional capacities of the City Governments in mainstreaming sound disaster risk reduction practices within their basic local governance functions such as land-use allocations, urban planning, public works, social welfare, and disaster management.
