The Earthquakes and Megacities Initiative, in cooperation with the Makati City Government held last September 18-19, 2008 the strategic planning workshop at the Makati City Hall. Participants to the workshop were EMI technical experts, including Dr. Fouad Bendimerad, Makati Government officials and staff, and Barangay Officials coming from the most vulnerable places in Makati.
The 2-day workshop began with expectations checking among the participants and a re-visiting of milestones accomplished, lessons learned and recommendations for improvement during the second phase. Afterwhich, presentations and workshops were conducted which discussed and finalized the individual workplans of the cluster groups for the redevelopment project.
