The International Earthquake Conference will be held in Los Angeles, USA, later this year. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between the City of Los Angeles and EMI, setting out the scope of work and implementation procedures in co-organizing the Forum.
The City of Los Angeles is one of EMI's active partners in the Americas. It became a partner city under the Americas Cluster of the Cluster Cities Project (CCP), through a Confirmation of Participation signed by Hon. Richard Riordan on September 29, 2000. The city last hosted the Americas Cluster Cities Focus Meeting in 2004 (See related documentation here).
